The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for introduction to and manufacture of Densair designs, this includes oversight of CEM PCBA assembly and test processes together with deployment & management.

Main Purpose of the Job:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for introduction to and manufacture of Densair designs, this includes oversight of CEM PCBA assembly and test processes together with deployment and management of Densair product assembly and test processes. This includes management of suppliers or partners involved in the development & manufacturing processes.
As part of the role, the Manufacturing Engineer is expected to create process flow drawings and manufacturing documentation that can be used for design for manufacture reviews and the development of prototype as well as production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical ownership of the manufacture and assembly process of Dense Air’s small cell products in accordance with the requirements defined by the product management and system engineering teams.
- Contribute to Designing for manufacturing, taking into account manufacturing processes & costs.
- Critical reviewer and development support with respect to New Product Introduction (NPI) to the production facility including Bill of Material development and deployment into CEM facility
- Coordinate and manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) with respect to product engineering and material management from development into the CEM
- Primary Interface and management of Manufacturing partners, including critical contribution to forecasts and production schedules and planning
- Completion of FMEA for the production process.
- Analysis and reporting of production data with a view of improving production and design yields
- Development of assembly processes to improve the consistency of products for example by utilising jigs.
- Manage Preventative maintenance on Dense Air owned production equipment, deployed to the CEM, in order to minimise downtime of production, including test equipment wrt calibration cadences.Management of ongoing product compliance within the CEM with respect to FCC and CE.
- Product change management into the CEM
- Supervision of production partners, ensuring effective use of each workstation in accordance with work instructions.
- Working with suppliers to continuously improve products, while ensuring products comply with given specifications.
- Other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by Senior Management.
Education and Experience:
- Over 5 years manufacturing of complex electrical and electronics products.
- Experience of contract equipment manufacturing NPI deployment and management
- Author of Statement of work for Contract manufacturers.
- Experience in Material Requirements planning.
- Experience working in Telecoms preferable.
- HND Level Technical qualification in Electronics or relevant Engineering field.

- Able to document process flows with attention to detail.
- Able to present information in a clear and concise way to peers and managers.
