Main Purpose of the Job:

Inbuilding RF & Installation Engineer is a role within our OpCo enablement Team, based in UK. The successful individual will be responsible for Developing and supporting RAN planning process for all DA OpCo’s. This will also include developing and validating Neutral Host O-RAN based RAN planning processes for deployments in shared and licensed spectrum.

There will also be a requirement to engage and support in RAN planning design activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and optimising processes for design, development, infrastructure evaluation and selection, and rollout resulting in optimum system design solutions for all DA OpCo’s
• Develop and Validate Neutral Host O-RAN based network planning processes for deployments in shared and licensed spectrum
• Perform link budget analysis, design criteria, coverage & traffic/capacity analysis
• RF network design and planning activities using industry standard planning tool
• Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration
• Working with internal stakeholders

• Working with technology and operational partners

• Other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Management

Education and Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in 4G RAN planning

• Any experience with 5G/ORAN especially ORAN planning valuable

• Detailed knowledge and experience of RAN rollout lifecycle

• Experience with network planning tools such as ATOLL, Planet etc

• Any experience of transport network planning valuable

• Suitable Engineering qualification
