Main Purpose of the Job:
The Network Engineer is a role within our RAN Engineering Team, based in USA. The Network Engineer is primarily responsible for the identifying, implementing, testing & monitoring of 4G & 5G transport network infrastructure in conjunction with solution architects.
The Network Engineer is responsible for managing ISP vendor relationships and lead the transport design for data centres and 4G / 5G networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect the transport network for 4G/5G, considering factors such as capacity planning, latency requirements, and scalability.
- Evaluate and select appropriate transport technologies, including microwave, fiber optics, and satellite, based on network requirements.
- Lead the implementation of transport network elements, ensuring compliance with 4G/5G standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to deploy and commission transport infrastructure, ensuring timely and efficient rollout.
- Conduct regular network audits and performance assessments, implementing improvements as needed.
- Develop monitoring dashboards on transport performance and utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any interworking issues between transport and core elements.
- Dimension the transport based on the network need.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including radio access network (RAN) and core network teams, to achieve end-to-end network optimization.
- Responsible for ordering transport and managing the serving LEC to ensure necessary timelines are achieved
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing transport networks, with a focus on 4G/5G technology.
- In-depth knowledge of transport technologies such as IP/MPLS, DWDM, microwave, and fiber optics.
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and specifications related to 4G/5G transport.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Experience with network simulation tools and performance monitoring systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in relevant areas such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei networking.
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as edge computing and network slicing in the context of 4G/5G.
- Knowledge on the GCP.

Salary - $110,000 - $130,000
